With extensive experience across narrative film, documentary, and commercial production, Cory brings a refined creative eye, strong technical expertise, and intentional leadership to every project.
Rooted in Flint, Michigan, Cory is deeply committed to elevating local stories and building opportunities for creatives within the community. His work is driven by authenticity, emotion, and purpose creating films that not only look exceptional, but resonate on a human level.

Josh Thayer is the Co-Founder of Flint Michigan Films and serves as the Lead Content Creator, bringing both technical precision and creative collaboration to every production. As a key partner in the company, Josh plays an essential role in shaping the visual execution and operational success of FMF projects.
With a strong understanding of camera systems, on-set workflow, and production logistics, Josh ensures each shoot runs efficiently while maintaining a high standard of visual quality. He thrives in fast-paced environments and values teamwork, consistency, and professionalism.

Melissa Miller
Co-Founder | Director of Operations & Community Partnerships
Melissa Miller is the Founder of Flint Film Foundation and serves as the Director of Operations & Community Partnerships with Flint Michigan Films. She plays a key role in overseeing day-to-day operations, strategic planning, and relationship buildingensuring the company runs efficiently while staying rooted in purpose and community impact.
With a strong background in entrepreneurship, project coordination, and people centered leadership, Melissa helps bridge creative vision with execution. She is deeply involved in building systems, supporting productions, and cultivating partnerships with local organizations, businesses, and creatives.
Melissa is passionate about using storytelling as a tool for connection and change. Through Flint Michigan Films, she helps create opportunities for collaboration, elevate local voices, and contribute to a thriving creative ecosystem in Flint and beyond
Gavin Chaney
Lead Editor | Content Creator
Gavin Chaney is a Lead Editor at Flint Michigan Films, supporting projects both on set and in post. With a strong work ethic and a passion for filmmaking, Gavin contributes to the technical foundation and final polish of FMF productions.
On set, Gavin supports lighting, rigging, and production flow, helping ensure each shoot is executed smoothly and safely. In post-production, he brings stories together through thoughtful editing that enhances pacing, clarity, and emotional impact.
Gavin’s dedication to learning, growth, and collaboration makes him a valuable part of the Flint Michigan Films team and its mission to tell meaningful, high-quality stories.
